VRP Medium Calibre Drilling Jig

PROTOTYPA VRP Medium Calibre Drilling Jig serves for drilling take-off holes into cartridge cases for powder gases pressure measurement or medium calibre cartridges. Positioning slot at the cartridge bottom rim, which is used for positioning the cartridge in ballistic gun, is made by means of cutter on milling machine. Device is not designed for cartridges with high explosive projectile.





Technical description of the VRP Medium Calibre Drilling Jig:

  • VRP is one purpose drilling equipment
  • For each calibre is produced appropriate modification of VRP
  • Manufactured chamber for inserting of cartridge case
  • Positioning pin for milled groove in cartridge case bottom
  • Replaceable drilling bushings for case of worn or damage
  • Drilling bushings for drills Ø 2 mm and Ø 3.5 mm (piezo or crusher)
  • Bullet catcher with holes for leak of expanding gases
  • Protective tube for guidelines expanding gases
  • Only for cartridges with non-explosive projectile – TP, TP-T, APFSDS-T, AP
  • Base plate to attach on pedestal drill
