PROTOTYPA DTVEM1 Drop Test Validation Equipment M1 is a movable construction for validation of backing material consistency in accordance with NIJ Standard-0101.06.

Simple construction allows user to set up height of drop test. DTVEM1 is equipped with steel sphere, which is held by magnets. The testing sphere is released by moving of the lever. After the impact it is possible to measure the imprint of the sphere in backing material located below magnets. Based on depth of the impact it is possible to determine whether the backing material is suitable for ballistic tests.
