BP-2 Bullet Pull Tester
PROTOTYPA BP-2 Bullet Pull Tester is intended for measuring of bullet pull force from cartridge case up to 5000 N. On the BP-2 is possible to test bullet pull force of cartridges for small arms (for calibres from 5,56 mm to 12,7 mm). For measuring of 12,7 x 99 mm (.50 BMG) bullet pull force are used special exchangeable blades on bullet pull.
BP-2 is compatible with requirements of NATO Manual of proof and inspection procedures AEP-97 (NATO calibres testing) where maximum recorded bullet pull force is required.
BP-2 consists of:
- Universal testing machine Lab Test 6.051 with force gauge AST (typ KAP-S);
- Computer & software;
- Bullet pull collet assembly;
Universal testing machine LabTest 6.051 is used for force gauge tightening and offers controlled vertical movement. Tightened force gauge measure pull/push force. Extreme positions of crosshead are stopped by upper and lower limit stops which could be adjusted.
Computer & software - notebook delivered with the system operate Universal testing machine through software Test & Motion Plus installed in notebook.
Bullet pull collet is screwed on force gauge interface and is used for clamping bullets. Bottom of cartridge case is hold in cartridge case holder and cartridge case holder is tightened on Universal testing machine base. Bullet is clamped by two side exchangeable blades which grip the bullet during test. The blade is locked in position by nut. For measuring of 12,7 x 99 mm (.50 BMG) bullet pull force are used special exchangeable blades.
Main features of BP-2:
- Simple and quick inserting of cartridges into Bullet pull collet.
- Robust design.
- Easy use software with data input.
- Programmable cross head.
- Mechanism for prevention force overload.
